His hair is blue, his finger nails are blue and his lips are blue. He is very intelligent but devoid of any sense of humour and not prone to emotional expression.

He has an annoying habit of only asking questions to which he knows the answer; and he knows a lot of answers.

Little is known about his past. It is rumored that he was exposed to a massive dose of cobalt during treatment for a tumor. Apparently his body subsequently substitutes cobalt for iron as an oxygen carrier. This gives him the appearance of someone suffering from acute and chronic cyanosis. He is, in fact, quite healthy as long as he takes his vitamin B12. He dresses in all blue clothes, from his hat down to his blue leather shoes.

THE HISTORY

The Swedish Bikini Team is the brainchild of Never Say... Never Mind producer, writer and personal manager Ron Bryan. Ron set out to form a dynamic group of girls who would be instantly recognizable as the SBT and who would star in a trilogy of family entertainment movies about their adventures. The SBT stories are live action adventures in the vein of the James Bond and Austin Powers films, in which the SBT undertake their own stunts.

Ron says: "When putting together the team we were obviously looking for beautiful girls, but they had to have a little more than that. They are very athletic and focused in their training."

There Swedish Bikini Team were trained in diving, martial arts and dance. Martial arts are particularly important as they enable the girls to perform their own stunts.

"We structured the team in a pecking order, led by Vendela. It's her job to organize the girls, make sure they are at their various training session, that they practice their dances, and are generally where they are supposed to be at all times."

Vendela says: "Our motto is beauty, brains, and bravery. Not a bad combination! It's quite hard work being in the team - we have a rigorous training schedule - but overall it's great fun."

The first of the Swedish Bikini Team films, Never Say... Never Mind, is set in London. It is produced by Ron Bryan and Emilio Ferrari and the the directorial debut of cinematographer Buzz Feitshans.

Ron and Emilio were introduced to each other by a mutual friend, Dyan Keenan, who plays the Leather Nun, They realized they had both expertise in different areas of film production and would make a strong producing team.

Both producers knew of Buzz's work as Director of Photography and when Buzz read the script he was keen to make Never Say... Never Mind his debut as director. Ron and Emilio agreed that Buzz had the talent, enthusiasm and understanding of the project and ability to work under pressure that was going to make the film a success. They would be shooting on Digibeta over 4 weeks and would be assembling the first edit of the film during production, so it was going to be an intense time.

Buzz says: "The Swedish Bikini Team work very well together. They are great girls, really game for anything. Then there are experienced actors as well on the shoot like Bruce Payne and John Rhys Davies who are good to work with,

The main cast is a mix of British and American talents brought together by Ron, Emilio and Buzz.

Bruce Payne was cast as Swedish Bikini Team coordinator Mr. Blue. An experienced actor who has played a host of bad guys and terrorists, Bruce was attracted to the part as it was something completely different. He was also keen to work with Buzz whose work as DP he had admired on films such as Indian Runner.

Bruce says: "Mr. Blue is a bit of an enigma. He's functional but almost invisible. He makes things happen without showing and aggression or emotion. You really don't know anything about him apart from that he is an incredible fixer of any situation.

"Buzz Feitshans has been very good to work with - he's very hands on and has a great relationship with the cast. He's also, obliviously, very technically minded."

John Rhys Davies, who plays key terrorist Hakim, had just completed a 14 month shoot on Lord of the Rings when he was invited to joint he Swedish Bikini Team cast.

John says: "This is great fun. I got the call asking if I'd like to play an Arab terrorist for 4 weeks with the bikini girls, and I thought fantastic!"

Hakim's terrorist team include Sean and Abdul.

"Well" says John, "Anthony who plays Sean is a marvelous young actor and he makes a first class Irish terrorist. Abdul is a bit of a loose canon though - and a very boring computer nerd who gets everything wrong!"

The Swedish Bikini Team were brought over from the States by Ron along with key characters such as Janet McCabe who plays Double Oh and Dyan Keenan, the Leather Nun. Janet, who takes an Associate producer credit on the film, and Dyan have been involved with the Swedish Bikini Team films from the outset and their characters will appear in each of the trilogy.

Janet says: "I have known Ron several years now and so have seen the SBT ideas in their various different forms. Double-Oh is a great part for me: I spend a lot of time with the SBT anyway when we're at home in the States and I am quite motherly tot hem, so Double-Oh is almost an extension of real life for me."

Double oh is also in charge of the gizmos used by the Swedish Bikini Team. A wizard with electronics, Double Oh has developed a series of nonfatal weapons used by the SBT in their various capers.

Dyan Keenan says her character: "The Leather Nun is such fun to play - She's really sexy and kinky and wicked. I get to dress up in outrageous leather outfits and prance around wielding a whip. The only drawback is the lather trousers - they are so tight I can hardly sit down!"

Other key cast members include Vincent Marcello who plays Joe Datsun and Eric Loren as his sidekick Henry.

Filming began in London in February 2001. The film was shot mainly on location, using London landmarks such as Big Ben, the River Thames and Alexandra Palace, with some studio work. The weather was icy and not ideal for bikinis.

Vendela says: "I can't believe the weather you have in London! We're really looking forward to getting back into sunshine. But London is a great place - so much to see."

The Swedish Bikini Team will appeal to all ages, and not just men.

Ron says: "the film is supposed to target young teens up through college, about 12 to 30 years old I would say. There's no nudity, no gratuitous violence, not even a love interest. It's really a girl power movie - that's where the audience is."

Never Say... Never Mind is a Revenge Films Ltd Production. Evolution Films are executive producers. Emilio Ferrari's A Plus Entertainment Inc. are handling worldwide sales and US distribution.
