Director: David Fairman Starring: Jeff Fahey, Martin Kove and Bruce Payne. Bruce plays Dr. Robert Golding. Official Web Site: http://www.grosvenorfilms.com/home.html Pathologist Dr. Richard Murray is on the trail of a serial killer. Are the clues he is finding being left by the dead? HELP ME, HELP ME Our hero, the renowned pathologist Dr Richard Murray is about to enter a waking nightmare. When computer Messages start appearing on his home PC pleading for help, Murray doesn't know if someone has broken into his house or whether he's losing his mind. But the sudden chill in the air suggests something else. Meanwhile a serial killer is on the loose, murdering beautiful young girls. When another body washes up on the shore and arrives at the hospital, Murray realises that the cryptic messages on his computer are in fact clues. Someone, somewhere wants him to find the murderer, and whoever it is knows things no one alive could ever know. Murray, a normally rational man, is forced to accept the truth - the Messages are coming from beyond the grave. Plagued by recurring memories of his wife's recent death in a horrific car crash, Murray enters a realm where no sane human being should dwell. What ghastly secrets are buried within the shadowy surroundings of a housebound old lady? And what revelations can a spiritualist medium extract from the netherworld.? Who is this voice from the beyond? Is it a friend or a foe? And is Murray now the only person who can solve this mystery? The answer will take him through a spiral of fear to the edge of darkness, as he confronts not only the killer, but the ghosts inside himself. Messages' taut, knife-edge conclusion brings the audience to consider those everlasting issues of love, death, grief, and the possibility of life beyond the grave that haunt us all.Messages' taut, knife-edge conclusion brings the audience to consider those everlasting issues of love, death, grief, and the possibility of life beyond the grave that haunt us all. Statement from the Director of "Messages" David Fairman I believe that the Messages project offers myself and the Company a great opportunity to make an outstanding film with potentially excellent commercial prospects. The script sets out a story which is full of tension, the characters are complex and engaging and the Film's ending will leave a lasting impression upon the audience. Messages deals not just with the discovery of who is the killer, but also delves into issues of love, death, bereavement and the supernatural world. The supernatural/thriller genre is in my opinion particularly popular right now, and recently successful films of such genre include Sixth Sense, The Others, House and The Ring. |
