  202. Spec Ops

Short Summary Nikita is reassigned to Special Operative Jurgen to retrain her after her capture by the Freedom League. When Section is contacted by Kudrin, a Freedom Leaguer who could verify Nikita's story, Section seeks to capture him for questioning. To keep Kudrin from revealing the truth, Michael deliberately attempts to kill him during the mission, but Kudrin survives, and Madelina as well as Jurgen start unraveling Michael and Nikita's lie.

THE AUDIO BITS

Nikita- I came back...for you.

Michael- Get over it.

Jurgen- Why are you here? Nikita - they sent me Jurgen - Why...

Jurgen- You won't need to worry about the Section. You need to worry about me.

Madeline- The doctors say that you're going to live. That's the bad news. There is no good news.

Operation- This level of betrayal is unacceptable.

203. Third Person

Short Summary Birkoff discovers that a seemingly random series of terrorist activities are being perpetrated by a six man mercenary army Section One dubs "Helix." Jurgen helps Nikita back to full operative status in preparation for Section's attack against Helix, but Michael is concerned about Nikita and Jurgen's growing relationship. Convinced Jurgen is manipulating Nikita in order to expose her, Michael and Jurgen come to blows.

THE AUDIO BITS

Walter- He's in what I call the 5% club.Nikita- Dare I ask what that might be?Walter- 95% of the recruits have their souls sucked out of them the first year. For some reason, this place doesn't get everybody. He's one of us.

Jurgen- People on the outside; they're not freer than we are.

Michael- This is not a training session. This is a mission. I'm in charge.

Jurgen- You want me dead, do it yourself.

Madeline- There's been entirely too much externalizing of emotion lately.

Operations- If you continue to perform like this, we'll get along fine.

 

204. Apporaching Zero

Short Summary Jurgen's freedom within Section One fascinates Nikita, and she continues to spend more time with him, despite Michael's disapproval. Michael warns Nikita that Jurgen is not who he claims to be, but Nikita ignores Michael's advice, and she and Jurgen grow ever closer. unfortunately, Nikita has become an unwitting pawn in a power struggle between Jurgen and the Section, which could mean deadly consequences for Jurgen... and Nikita.

THE AUDIO BITS

Nikita- It's not about getting out anymore.Madeline- What is it?Nikita- Having a better life.

Nikita- Patented Michael answer "The Blank Stare".

Jurgen- I can't live that way...I never could.

Michael- I have to keep my feelings separate. That's how I live my life, Nikita...split in two. I never let anyone else see the other half but it's there...always a part of me.

** The song Satan is a little bit confusing...there's a single out there that has 2 versions of Satan; the Spawn Soundtrack version with Kirk Hammett on guitar, and the live version from the album In Sides. Now, the album In Sides has a bonus CD (not listed), which contains Satan as well as the theme song from the movie "The Saint". I've gotten word it is also on Orbital's first album, Orbital 1, and is called Orbital 1. The version in the episode is from the CD In Sides.
