From time to time there are rumours that are started in the entertainment industry about who is going to play the next BOND. After Brosnan has finished his term and is Knighted into the Bond Hall of Fame, WHO will be the next James Bond? Once the hypothetical list is "made to order" for the BOND requirements I think a lot of people will agree that a certain charismatic actor should be included on that list. Entertainment Weekly had recently printed their own survey on who they thought would be best suited for the role and gave 4 requirements to why the chosen actor would be the next 007. Bruce was NOT on the list, however here is why I think he should be on the list as Bruce IS Bond! You can read EW's choices by clicking here.

Here are EW's 4 keys to being BONDABLE:

Tux-ability Savoir faire for pulling off a Savile Row suit

Babe-ability Capacity to conquer more than just villains

Gadget-ability Aptitude for operating heavy machinery on Q

Bond-ability Power to make us forget Sean Connery

Tux-ability : Oh yes! Bruce does have spiff-abilty in the tuxable arena. The photo tells no lies!

Babe-ability : Yes indeed! Two words... Baby Blues. With the bat of his eyes and a lingering "hello" are all he needs to get the girl(s). He is strong and could carry two babe's with one arm if needed.

Gadget-ability : Definitely! Bruce has flown planes, jumped out of planes, operated space ships, driven numerous types of automobiles, has been known to dabble with a sword fight now and again AND is no stranger to knowing how to handle artillery of all types. An added bonus is that he does his own stunts!

Bond-ability : Yes! Bruce is charming and has that sparkle in his eyes that says "I am BOND". He can shake and drink a martini with ease. Be prepared to have a melt down when you hear the words "Bond, James Bond" flowing from his lips on the silver screen. Miss. Moneypenny has his number!

There is plenty of time to convince the BOND PEOPLE that OUR guy is the man for the job. Only Bruce can add his touch of Bruceness to Bond! Apparently they won't even start to consider who'll be the next 007 until Jan 2003.

Remember Bruce Payne for "BOND 2004"!
